Quartz Regulations

GENERAL:

The Baldy Point area is open free to the public year round during daylight hours (dawn to dusk).

PARKING:

Visitors are required to park their vehicles in the parking lot located on the southwest side of Baldy Point. The parking lot is accessed from the west via a county dirt road.

ALLOWED USES:

Rock Climbing, Hiking, Nature Observation and Photography, and Environmental Education and Interpretation.

PROHIBITED USES:

Camping, Mountain Biking, Hunting, Firearms (including Paintball Guns), and Fires.

ROCK CLIMBING:

Technical Climbing, including Bouldering and Rappelling, are available to visitors at their own risk.

FIXED ANCHORS:

The decision to place, replace or remove fixed anchors is the responsibility of individual climbers and the climbing community.
