I was in the wichitas last satuday and found a route I've never seen. We were walking from Echo dome over to Elk slab. On the west side of the we saw a shorter cliff, maybe 50-60 feet tall. We could see one established route that went up an overhanging, blocky dihedral for about 20ft. It then moves out onto the face with 4 bolts. At the top there are rusty cold shut anchors. If I were forced to guess, I'd say it was no harder than about 5.8.

The route looked interesting so we did it instead of heading to elk slabs. The route doesn't seem to be in the guidebook. Does anybody know anything about the route: name, FA, grade? Anyway, I'm just curious.

Thanks,
~Arnold
