: Just wanted to report that Jimmy, Matt, Rich, and I replaced the bolts on Love Potion #9 and the Forrester Variation on the Leaning Tower. They were all 1/4 inch old bolts that Jon Frank and ??? placed 20 years ago and they came out pretty easy. The head of one of the bolts sheared off (it was so rusty). Jimmy supplied all of the new hardware. We removed all of the bail-slings from the terrible flake and placed a bail link on the bolt instead.
: Also, Jimmy and I put up a route to the right of Fuson's Folly. "Groundup Turkey Meat", 5.9X goes up the arete and face a few feet right of Fusons Folly crack and then up and over a couple of bulges and another face to finish even with the uppermost anchors. It was fun and adventuresome as we had no idea where we were going...Although the route is mostly runout, both of the crux moves are pretty close to good pro.
