A friend of mine and I were watching the fireworks over bolting with great glee. I could kind of see both sides' view. A disinterested observer. Many of you know this friend of mine.

Anyway, my friend and I came up with all sorts of funny ideas. Here is the funniest, which was his. I left out #5, which involved the execution of all first ascentionists.

"Hey, here's a new idea:

1. Chop ALL bolts at Quartz.
2. Burn all guidebooks.
3. Rename Quartz
4. Re-establish the crag, top down, with all new routes and names.

Complete Crag Erasure (CCE) is the Way! Shit, stop the press."

So that is it, and please, resume arguing.
