Are you sure the skeleton was the goat's and not Osama Bin Laden's? I heard that after he managed to escape our relentless "Daisy Cutter" attacks on Tora Bora that OBL managed to cross the border with his dialysis machine and take refuge in the Wichitas. Perhaps he was somehow able to make it to Quartz, where he could have found numerous hidey holes. However, not being used to the slabby climbing style of Baldy (Tora Bora is more likely a Potrero Chico-style limestone) he inevitably would have become careless on the steeper slabs. Now, (and this is only conjecture of course), it may have even been that OBL was trying his technique one day on Bourbon Street Direct where he took a nasty fall due to the lack of bolts, cheese gratering the whole way down, after which he somehow was able to limp to the top of Have Gun Will Travel where, due to excessive loss of blood and exhausted at the idea of going on, he simply gave up and died. What's really curious though is why George Bush hasn't already taken credit for this. Is Bush trying to keep the "Osama Bin Laden Is Still A Threat" story going merely to deflect attention from the growing quagmire in Iraq? Has he changed his mind about "Wanted: Dead or Alive"? Good question.

: Although Snowball was an excellent face climber, I thought he had poor crack technique. I'll miss him.
: There are a bunch of goats over on the New Horizon Trail area of the park. Its probably only a matter of time util they discover Old Baldy.
