How about leaving Quartz the way it is. If we try to go back a fix what is deemed wrong it only opens up all routes for argument. Case in point, a copperhead placed on the FA of Field of Opportunity then a bolt was added shortly after. Should we go back to the way the route was done? Personally I can see many, many things that could lead to a major ethics war. I agree with Terry on no more bolts but the "one step further" idea in my opinion is courting disaster. We have an opportunity to learn from this issue at Quartz but in order to learn from it we need to remove the vindictive thoughts before we can move ahead. Quartz was fine until the B.S.D. and Snakeshead issue came up. This past Fall Gathering was great,climbers were enjoying Quartz just the way it is,lets go back to climbing and take Terry's advice.
